Learning from documenta 14

Adrian Anagnost is assistant professor of art history at Tulane University (New Orleans, USA) and specializes in issues of urban space, architectonic form, and theories of the social, especially in modern Brazil and the global contemporary. Anagnost's writings have appeared in ASAP/Journal, nonsite, and Woman’s Art Journal, among others, and an article on Theaster Gates' social practice art is forthcoming in Art Journal. Manol Gueorguiev studied at the University of Chicago and works at the intersection of performance, architectural installation, design, and post-socialist histories. Building upon long-term relationships with non-artists and non-actors, Gueorguiev’s performances and set designs compel participants to examine their own involvements with political and social structures.
